Amboseli National Park
“Home of the African Elephant”
Amboseli National Park, situated in Kenya, is one of the country’s most remarkable parks that features Africa’s highest peak, Mount Kilimanjaro. The word “Amboseli” means “salty dust” in the Maasai language. It’s an ideal location to get close to large elephant herds. The park offers five different habitats, including the dried-up lake bottom of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with sulfur springs, swampy areas with lush papyrus and Cyperus plants, the typical African savannah, and woodlands filled with acacia trees and rocky thorn bushes. Visitors also have the opportunity to visit the nearby Maasai community and experience their way of life. It’s a perfect destination for nature lovers.

Day : 2 Amboseli to Nairobi
After your early morning wildlife drive, you'll head back to the lodge for breakfast about 8:30. Check out of your hotel in the morning and enjoy one more game drive in Kenya's Amboseli National Park. The Maasai word for "salty dust" (from which the park gets its name) describes the area perfectly, and Amboseli is one of the best spots in Africa to see elephant herds up close and personal. There are five distinct ecosystems for visitors to discover, from the arid bed of former Lake Amboseli to wetlands with sulfur springs, the savannah, and the woods. When you're done exploring the park, it'll take you about 5 hours to drive to Nairobi. We'll have lunch and explore the local curio shop in Emali.
You will be into Nairobi at 6:00 PM local time. After that, you'll be dropped off at your hotel or the airport, as desired.
